Use this T-adapter to connect your SLR/DSLR camera, or any 42mm-threaded CCD camera to the Celestron EdgeHD 800 8" telescope.
The adapter's length has been optimized to place the camera sensor in the optimal focal position behind the EdgeHD's built-in field flattener.
This T-adapter has a section which can be unscrewed, so a filter wheel can be added into the light path.
If you want to shoot through a filter with a DSLR camera and this adapter, we highly recommend using a Canon DSLR in conjunction with the Baader Planetarium Protective T-ring.

Schmidt-Cassegrain and ACF owners: It is recommended that you purchase Schmidt-Cassegrain and ACF specific T-adapters, as their lengths have been optimized for use with these telescopes, with and without standard f/6.3 focal reducers.
