Orion 1.3 Megapixel Starshoot IV Solar System Imager Camera

Produce digital images of Planets and Lunar features the easy way. This CCD camera replaces the eyepiece, and produces color images that are suitable for stacking.

Includes AmCAP for viewing and recording the video stream or taking snapshots. There are many free imaging programs that will allow you to quickly and easily stack and process images. Stacking is a process by which you take many individual shots and average them out to produce a final image that is considerably better.

Some free popular programs include:

  • GIMP - GNU Image Manipulation Program (Windows or Linux)
  • Registax - Stacking software
  • IRIS - CCD Control and processing

Note: We do not offer support for these programs. Our sales manager uses GIMP, and is able to answer questions.
