Experienced users of tripod-mounted instruments value the characteristics of wood. Berlebach tripods combine tried-and-true Old World craftsmanship with modern design philosophy. The result is what can rightfully be called aesthetic functionality.
Berlebach Report Telescope Tripods are designed with large wood cross sections to optimize support and reduce vibrations. The wood tray not only serves as a storage area, but also maximizes the stability of the tripod legs at an angle of 23°. This model of the REPORT Tripod has a smooth plate head and spring supported spindle. Folded length is 99cm (39"). Maximum spread is 93cm (36.6"). Weight: 3.4kg (7.5 lbs).
The mounting surface is a slightly raised pad of firm, textured rubber to provide a non-slip contact. The large diameter of 63mm assures a stable, non-tilting reference. The attachment screw is the larger photographic standard of 3/8"-16 tpi, and fits many of the better quality pan/ball heads by such makers as Manfrotto, etc.
This package includes not only the tray (normally a separate purchase), but also a set of Double Clamps. These provide a firmer clamping of the upper leg segment pair upon the lower singleton, and are particularly useful at nearer to maximum leg extension.
