Celestron does it again with a revolutionary new telescope technology that anybody can use. The Celestron SkyProdigy series of telescopes self-aligns with virtually no user interaction.
Introducing StarSense. This exciting new technology works in about 3 minutes, thanks to the proprietary imaging system utilizing a Kodak CCD Chip, an ARM Cortex microprocessor and custom software embedded in the mount.
The telescope automatically takes pictures at three points in the sky. The powerful software uses these pictures like fingerprints, essentially recognizing the stars to get its bearings.
The intelligent drive system of the SkyProdigy telescope not only finds the planets and stars for you, but keeps them in the eyepiece so you can spend your time enjoying the view, and not chasing the objects as the sky moves.
