Attach your DSLR, bridge camera, all-in-one camera, or video camera to the top of your Celestron Cassegrain telescope to shoot the night sky in piggyback fashion.
Piggyback photography permits the user to shoot wider-fields of view, using the native camera lens system. The results can be spectacular, as astrophotos of complete regions of the sky, and whole constellations are possible. In contrast, shooting through the telescope yields a smaller field of view.
Piggyback photography is one of the easiest forms to master, due to the lower focal lengths typically used which produces lower sensitivity to tracking anomalies, and often shorter exposure times.
The bracket attaches using the finderscope mounting holes present on all Celestron Cassegrain telescopes. Some scopes have two sets of finderscope mounting holes, and others only have one. This bracket works with both configurations. If you only have one set of holes, the finderscope does not need to be sacrificed, it can be mounted in tandem with this bracket.
Includes all mounting screws, and 11"/14" adapter plate. Adapter plate is not required for smaller diameter scopes.
