Due to high demand and global product shortages due to the pandemic, please call for availability.

According to Canadian astronomy guru Terence Dickinson, the Dobsonian telescope is the closest thing to the ideal beginner's telescope (Nightwatch, 4th edition, page 69). This is due to the outstanding amount of light gathering and simplicity versus the cost.

We totally agree. If you want raw performance, it's hard to beat a Dob. Their point-and-shoot approach gives it an obvious advantage. They also boast the quickest set-up time, so you'll spend more time observing.

The Sky-Watcher Classic Dobsonian Telescope 254mm/1200mm (10") has a paraboloidal primary mirror to eliminate spherical aberration and a four-arm secondary mirror bracket with fine supports (0.5mm thick) to reduce diffraction spikes. In addition, this model includes a 2" focuser with a 1.25" adapter, allowing the use of either eyepiece size. This model also include the new tension control handle.
